Sony Ericsson W205

Category : Sony Ericsson

The Sony Ericsson W205 is a slider phone and is very compact at just 92 x 47 x 16mm and a weight of 96g. The screen display is 1.8 inches and can display up to 65K which makes your images sharp and clear.  The Sony Ericsson W205 is another addition to the Walkman family of handsets, from Sony Ericsson. It is an excellent MP3 playing music phone.
Being a slider phone means there is no touch screen facility. The buttons are setup like a normal phone keypad, but the buttons are very small (this is due to it being a small handset) and also seem pretty close together.

The phone features a built in Walkman player which supports file formats such as MP3 and AAC, TrackID music recognition, FM radio and also expandable memory so you can store all of your favourite tracks. The only downside is that the phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm jack which means you need to use headphones with the Sony Ericsson connection. The sound quality is excellent. The 1.3 megapixel camera is a good quality but not ideal. There is no option to connect the phone to a PC to transfer photos and edit them on your PC. There is however, a video capture function, where you can record short videos.

Mobile internet with WAP gives you access to the internet with GPRS connection. The W205 supports Bluetooth 2.0, which gives faster data transmissions between handsets. The handset itself is deal for listening to your favourite music while on the bus or train, or even sharing files with friends and family but the camera is not perfect and it does lack the 3G connection. But all said, it is a very good phone for the price it is being marketed at.

The Sony Ericsson W205 comes in either black or white with a silver keypad. There is up to 9hrs talk time and up to 425hrs on standby. The phone is available from Orange, O2 and Vodafone n a contract basis or pay as you go from Vodafone. There is also the sim free option.

The Sony Ericsson W395 Mobile Review

Category : Sony Ericsson

The W395 is another great release from Sony Ericsson in their Walkman range, the handset has a less bulky appearance and really comfortable feel in your hand. The main thing with a Sony Ericsson is the music and with its Walkman 2.0 music player and an equaliser with deep bass function (this allows you to play your songs through the built in stereo speakers with excellent sound quality). The Walkman player also has Sony’s Track ID function as well as the PlayNow feature for downloading songs, themes, ringtones, wallpapers or games directly to your handset. The camera is 2 Megapixel with a 2.5x digital zoom. Other features include a Stereo FM radio with RDS, EDGE and a Memory Stick Micro (M2) card slot that will accept cards up to 4GB. Also with a scratch resistant surface. WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (Openwave) and Rss reader.

This handset comes loaded with loads of great features and applications. Messaging wise the handset has SMS, EMS, MMS, Email and Instant Messaging. The phone is compact and shaped really well. Weighing 96g and  96 x 47 x 14.9 mm. Standby Time is up to 480hrs Talk Time up to 8hrs. The 2.0 inch display shows off your photos in great quality and is extremely sharp. The W395 is a very affordable music phone that has purpose made keys for music.  The handset supports GSM / GPRS / EDGE 850/900/1800/1900

Powerful built-in stereo speakers with full bass Stereo headset with your phone a music player and you are your own DJ A real music machine with the Walkman music player, TrackID and PlayNow TrackID quickly find your favourite songs With PlayNow arena you a full range of mobile entertainment download The sharp 2.0-inch display show your photos in their full glory Support for motion gaming.

The Sony Ericsson W395 is available in Pink, Silver and Black. This is a slider handset and is finished really well, I feel it lives up to the Walkman name very well and is another great product from Sony Ericsson. The handset is available from T Mobile, Orange, Vodafone nd O2 either as pay as you go or monthly contract. As this handset is so nicely priced I personally would opt for the pay as you go option which saves you being tied to a lengthy contract. The phone itself would suit everyone – from the people who love music to the ones who just like to keep up with the latest trend. More suited to personal users than business users but still a great phone to have in your pocket.

Mobile Review Of The Sony Ericsson W595

Category : Sony Ericsson

The new Sony Ericsson W595 Ed Hardy edition mobile phone is an excellent display of style, colour and complete madness! With a trademark Ed Hardy tattoo design, themes and even the famous “Love and Death before Dishonour” motto on the back of the handset.  This phone not only has incredible design but it also has many great featuring a Walkman Music player and dedicated music keys and crystal clear stereo speaker. You have the choice to listen to your own MP3 tracks, or tune into radio stations with the built-in FM radio. The handset features TrackID music recognition, Shake control and the SenseMe application.

The 3.2-megapixel camera with zoom, auto-focus and video capture will give you great picture quality. The Walk-Mate application is an easy-to-use step counter, which will track the entire steps you walked throughout the day. This is all topped off with 3G HSDPA technology for high-speed web browsing and even built-in games. It is a bit on the chunky and has a rather small 2.2 inch screen. When you switch on the W595 you’ll be delighted by a bright and vibrant QVGA display with brilliant layout and icons that are easily readable.  There is great features and applications on this handset though, quad-band GSM, 3.6Mbps HSDPA with an integrated YouTube application and an average mobile browser. Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP. The 950mAh battery is great news and an impressive 9 hours of talk time and 385 hours on standby.

Other highlights include voice dialling, a rather loud speakerphone and some premium games including Pacman and Worms 2007 – most of these games are only demo versions.
All in all this is a very stylish and unusual handset, from the Ed Hardy Tattooed design to the excellent Walkman facilities. This phone is sure to turn a few heads, you will either love it or hate it. The Sony Ericsson W595 Ed Hardy Edition is available from Orange, Virgin, O2, Vodafone, 3 and T Mobile. Pay as you go, sim free or monthly contract, there really is a lot of choices for your ideal package when considering the handset. To buy the handset outright it is priced reasonably well and won’t leave you cringing at your next bank statement.

Sony Ericsson W995 Review

Category : Sony Ericsson

The Sony Ericsson W995 is another handset from the Walkman range. The phone features an 8.1 megapixel camera, an improved media syncing system, HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi and A-GPS all packed into a chunky yet slim slider phone. It measures in at 97x49x15mm and 113g.  The W995′s LCD screen is good with 240×320-pixel and 262,000 colours.  The only downside is that it’s only 2.6in – which doesn’t reflect well with the media player. The 8.1 megapixel camera has the standard LED, an image stabiliser and auto focus, as well as smile detection and the excellent BestPic, which takes seven pictures in one quick blast, both before and after you press the shutter. There’s also a 16x digital zoom, macro setting and panorama.

Music is obviously the key thing for the W995 with excellent sound quality augmented by Clear Stereo and Clear Bass features, as well as a five-band graphic equaliser and FM radio with RDS. The W995 comes with its own set of external stereo speakers. The Sony Ericsson W995 plays MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC and WMA audio formats and MPEG-4 and WMV formats for video. Playback quality was good, but not all formats can be shown full screen.

The Access Netfront browser gives great web browsing. The handsets accelerometer will change the screen to landscape mode when your turn it on its side and you can zoom in or out in ten% increments. There is also copy and paste options available, search web pages for key words, save pictures and view pages as text only. The phone has great connectivity options, including quad-band GSM, GPRS, HSDPA 3G fast internet connection (up to 7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) and Bluetooth 2.0 with stereo A2DP. It will also link up to Mac or PC for syncing or charging via USB 2.0. The onboard A-GPS is supported by Google Maps. Sony Ericsson’s NearMe application is simple to use and there is also a preloaded trial version of the Wayfinder Navigator sat nav.

The 118MB of memory isn‘t great, but it does comes with an 8GB Memory Stick Micro card. Battery life gives up to 9 hours talk time and 370 hours standby.
The handset is all about music and this is one thing is does well, the sound quality is great and browsing through your favourite tracks and albums is a breeze.

T-Mobile Mobile Broadband Review

Category : Mobile Phones

The main benefit of mobile broadband is that it is a flexible alternative to fixed-line broadband. T-Mobile’s broadband dongle packages simply plug straight into your laptop, allowing you to access the internet away from your home. T-mobile’s speeds are now advertised as up to 4.5Mb.  As one of the biggest mobile providers, T-Mobile mobile broadband offers customers some very competitive prices. Mobile broadband from T Mobile have three excellent options to choose from. Pay per day, pay monthly or pay up front. Mobile Broadband from T-Mobile allows you to connect your laptop to the internet whenever and wherever you want. It’s completely wireless and you are not tied to a landline or even the range of your wireless router. Working in the same way as your mobile phone, mobile broadband uses a SIM card to connect. The SIM card goes into a USB modem or dongle. The dongle is then plugged into a laptop and that’s it – you’re connected to the internet.

T Mobile’s mobile broadband is very fast – you will get speeds of 1 and 2Mbps. Your speed will depend on the reception you are receiving so a great idea is to check your area coverage before you commit to buying any of our products. There are numerous things that could affect your reception including the number of other users in your area, hills and buildings interfere with your connection speed. But in places which have clear reception, your speed could get up to a maximum of 4.5Mbps.

There is also the option of using your mobile phone to connect your laptop to the internet, but it would be really worth while purchasing a Booster. Boosters are extras you can add to your plan to best suit your needs. There are great extras when purchasing plans and packages. Including unlimited internet browsing for the first 30 days with the broadband daily option, free USB stick with broadband plus and broadband extra options on the monthly tariffs and the pay up front options is for only 3 or 12 months. Mobile broadband from T mobile is not only for personal users but also for businesses with great offers and flexible packages.

Tesco Unlimited £30 a Month Sim Only Deal

Category : General News, Mobile Phones

Tesco Mobile has released a new unlimited tariff, which will allow the subscribers to talk and text as much as they want without the expense of monthly phone bills. This is the first in the UK. This is a SIM-only, pay monthly deal which gives subscribers unlimited minutes, texts and browsing for £30 a month. The new tariff was developed to give people an easy, guaranteed way to have unlimited calls, texts and browsing. As it’s fixed at £30, you have the peace of mind to use your phone freely.

The new unlimited tariff really does give you unlimited calls and texts for just £30 a month. And with no long ties, just a one month commitment, it’s really flexible. Tesco have also teamed up with O2 to give you fantastic 99% population coverage. And you can also keep your own phone and your number. The tariff also gives you Triple Clubcard Points for every £1 you spend with Tesco Mobile. The package is a Sim-only deal, which means you will have to buy a handset and you won’t be able to get a free upgrade from the network.

The only thing surrounding the ‘unlimited’ deal is a fair usage policy that limits the amount of texts, browsing, and calls. This is limited to the equivalent of £500, which is a very good limit. Unless you chat and text all day every day this threshold will be very hard to go over.
